The product page's protocol list contains no Modbus entry, and Lantronix segregates Modbus into separately-ordered IAP firmware products (UDS1100-IAP, xDirect-IAP, XPress DR+) per the Modbus Protocol User Guide 900-271 Rev N, which names the IAP models it applies to and does not name this one. The device tunnels raw serial over TCP/UDP with Telnet/RFC2217 and a Windows virtual COM (Com Port Redirector) driver; it does not parse or convert Modbus frames, so a standard Modbus TCP client cannot address a serial Modbus RTU slave through it. |
