SolarEdge power optimizers are per-module DC-DC converters, not inverter MPPT trackers. Each optimizer tracks the maximum power point of its own module and the string then runs at a fixed DC bus voltage set by the SolarEdge inverter. 'max_output_voltage_v' below is the per-optimizer output limit; the separate string-level rule is 'maximum_system_voltage_v'. These are different axes and are not interchangeable, and this architecture must not be assumed for other brands' optimizers.
